A fabulous painted Chinese Altar table from Gansu province.
later 19th / early 20thC .
Although very modern looking , the design has it origins in the Ming dynasty.
The deep apron is decorated in an all over "WangZe" design that repeates a Swaztika within an endless knot . Both these designs are major Buddhist symbols
